Water Magic

Lough Corrib, Galway. Photo by Fintan McDonnell

Water is not just essential for life on earth as we know it, it has come to mean so much more to we humans. Buddhist associations with the flow of water represented the flow of life – TAO. In nature, just being beside water can often induce a welcome stillness and peace of mind, or contrastingly, a vibrant and stimulating wake up call, depending on whether we choose a calm still lake or a bracing, rolling ocean.

Dreams of water have been interpreted to mean or predict movement, change or transformation and re-birth in the dreamer’s life, especially if we dream of sinking under water and then re-emerging, often in a new and fresh formation.

Here is an homage in song to the mystical effect of water, one of my favourite songs of all time – Van Morrison’s ‘And it stoned me.’  Enjoy 🙂
